Geometrical Quasi Table by Aranda/Lasch
Asmita | Jun 6 2008

Designers Benjamin Aranda and Chris Lasch are mainly known for the architectural feats of their firm Aranda/Lasch. But the duo is now using their superlative talent and vast experience to create pieces of art for use inside living spaces. Their latest adventure is a stupendous table design that draws inspiration from geometric patterns and molecular structures and looks, well, rather raw with pointy edges lining the entirely of its surface. Commissioned by the Johnson Trading Gallery, the table is constructed in walnut with its fierce crystalline shapes that look a whole lot like the traditional khatam-band wood carving technique of Kashmir.
