Light up your home with a coin-operated corner Lamp
Asmita | Sep 23 2008

I love it when designers use regular everyday objects to portray their own philosophies and outlook in life. the Corner Lamp, created by designer Jethro Macey is just such an example. It not only mixes simplicity of thought and design with sheer practicality, but also narrates through its form a deeper underlying message relating the concept of values and reward, while delicately reinforcing the users’ awareness of consumption through its form.

What’s different?

The coin-operated switch of the lamp can be set to go off at a predetermined time, allowing users to use the lamp like a light-based alarm clock. The lamp is just prefect for people who hate having to switch on all the lights when they return home from work in the evening. Price and Availability The price of the Corner Lamp has not been disclosed as yet by the designer as of now, though the site claims that it will be made available to the public shortly.
